Pighin was established in 1963 by brothers Luigi, Ercole and Fernando on a 200 hectare estate in Risano, in the Friuli Grave D.O.C. area, which belonged to a noble Friulan family.
The company’s wine estates are located in FRIULI-VENEZIA GIULIA, a region that enjoys a highly favourable position in the extreme northeast of Italy between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The estate only produces wines from it's own vineyards, whose varieties include Pinot Grigio, Tocai Friulano and Merlot.
